This weeklong soccer camp will bring "South America" to Girard where players will not only be instructed in the 'flair' of South American soccer but also will learn about famous players, history, soccer tradition and more! This unique week will be instructed by current college coaches high qualified to bring this one-of-a-kind experience!

Description

The Copa America is South America’s continental competition which takes place every four years, usually an odd year following a FIFA World Cup. In 2021, Lionel Messi captured his very first Copa America with Argentina. Messi was helped largely by Yashin Award Winner and Aston Villa Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez’s penalty saves in the final. The Copa America in 2024 is special, as the United States is hosting the tournament ahead of hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The United States and five other CONCACAF teams are participating in the tournament.

This camp will be centered and themed around Copa America 2024 taking place this summer!

Players should expect technical work, game-like activities, and a fun history lesson about the nations, players, winners, and losers of the Copa America Competition!
